I’m Maddie, the dancing foodie behind this blog.
I am Hannah Baldwin.
a ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, pointe…you get the point, dancer. Hence the name, “The Dancing Foodie.”
a seventeen-year-old junior in high school.
a self-diagnosed avocado-aholic. I eat at least one a day.
an avid reader and writer. Gone Girl and Tuesdays With Morrie are two of my favorite books.
a nut and seed butter conniseur. Peanut, Almond, Sunflower, Pepita: you name it I’ve got it.
a guitar playing, music lover. Alternative is my prefered genre, but I also am a sucker for some good old Rock n’ Roll.
a Francophile. Parlez-vous français?
This blog focuses on a balanced approach to eating. In the past, I have struggled with disordered eating which has led me to become the foodie that I am today. Food is not the enemy. It is nourishment that should be cherished and enjoyed, not feared. I truly believe that all food should be eaten in moderation. Life is all about balance, and food is not an exception.
I eat vegetables like candy, but I also adore chocolate chip cookies straight out of the oven. An apple a day keeps the doctor away, but a slice of pizza every once in a while doesn’t hurt either. I hope this blog will inspire you to create new recipes as well as embrace the balance that comes with life. Happy Cooking!
